Born as an illustrator…

In my heart I am an illustrator and comic artist focused on book covers in a distinctive comic book style. I have a lot of experience working for publishing houses, magazines and advertising agencies. Check out my own graphic novel On the Coast of Dreams.

I am strongly oriented on clear and swift communication and keeping up with the deadlines! I try to learn about my clients‘ goals and understand their field of business — which is essential because creative work is time-consuming, and junior creatives often struggle to keep up with their deadlines. Over the years, I have perfected not only my craft but also the underlying creative process to prevent common misunderstandings and fulfill clients’ expectations. 

Today I am very interested in the topic of AI generated images and text. I don’t like stealing and I do not do that. However, I know that the future is coming this way and I want to be ready. That is why I play with these new exciting toys a lot!

Became a creative director

I founded a creative illustration studio artBLOCK focused on art marketing. My team helps our clients to tell the story of their services and products via illustrations, comics and animated videos in different styles. We create visuals for social networks, print, marketing campaigns, explainer videos or illustrated web designs.

Bringing comics to life

In 2015 I co-founded art-technological start-up Nanits Comics, based in San Francisco. We have invented a completely new experience of reading digital comics on smartphones and tablets in symbiosis with animation, sound and music. That was packed in our app that was rated 4,8★ in the AppStore. This is proof of my passion for art and technology. Also, there is a successful 400 page long comic book Nanits Chronicles has come out of it.

Consulting Art

I consult art projects either personal or larger ones. I also produce or art direct them occasionally. In recent years I have started to coach illustrators and other creative professionals to build their personal brand and career in the world of commercial arts. I speak at artist conventions and lead comic workshops in Prague.
